Seward Fishing

Humpback WhaleThe Charter Option has been in business for over 15 years providing thousands and thousands of people a fishing experience of a lifetime. Our boats fish in the Kenai Fjords National Park, the Gulf of Alaska, and in the entrance to Prince William Sound. These waters are teeming with trophy halibut, lingcod, rockfish, and in season, hundreds of thousands of Coho or Silver salmon.

We have over 60 boats in our Charter Option "fleet" providing a wide experience of sport fishing depending on what our customers want. We have boats from (4) passengers to (12) passengers. We feature the Crackerjack Voyager, Hope, Crackerjack Mariner, El Patron, Gladiator, Crackerjack, Shadow, Reel Fun, ProFish N Sea, and more.

We supply all the instruction you need, the best fishing tackle, and complete fish cleaning. The packaging, freezing, and shipping of your catch are available from a nearby business.

Drift Fishing:
In the 2008 season, we will again be offering drift fishing as well. King's starting mid-May to the trophy Rainbows in September; every month of the summer boasts the opportunity for a first class fishing adventure. The fishing season commences mid May and goes through late September.

Both Rivers support excellent runs of Silver Salmon, which start in August. The run in the Kenai goes through mid October. The run in the Kasilof goes through mid September. Sockeye (Red Salmon) enter both rivers in good numbers the middle of July and continue their run for 2 to 3 weeks. The fishing trip to the Kenai and Kasilof River trips includes: up to 8 hours of guided fishing per day, transportation to and from Seward to launch sites, and top quality fishing gear including the best producing rods and tackle.

6:00 A.M. Departure from Seward: Pick ups available in Seward, Moose Pass & Cooper Landing. Special arrangements for the Kenai/Soldotna area need to be made in advance.
