Horseback Riding

Come ride down the river to the shores of Resurrection Bay.

This area of Seward is only accessible by horse back. View bald eagles up close, see where they nest and watch them feed. It is rare that you can't ride your horse right under the trees where they majestically perch. You will ride through part of the old town of Seward that was destroyed by the great earthquake of 1964. You will hear the stories of the people who lived through it.

Our horses will then take us to the shore of the bay where the wild flowers meet the ocean. The bird life of this area is very diverse, active and up close. This Trail Ride could very well be the wilderness highlight of your trip to Seward and Alaska.

We offer two trail rides a day, beginning at 12 pm and 3 pm (check in 15 minutes early) during the months of May, June, July and August. 

The cost per person is $70 for about a 2 hour ride.

We also offer overnight trips as well. We take horse pack trips into the Mountains of the Chugach  Forest on the Kenai Peninsula.  The guides grew up riding these mountains and are still awed by the rugged beauty. You will be staying in your own personal very unique cabin.  These cabins are the only private cabins on the Resurrection Trail system. They were built in the 1920's and have been recently restored. 

On our rides we will talk about the history of the area and take you to places that nobody else ever visits.  Some of the wild game you can expect to see are moose, caribou, bear and Wolves.  This adventure is for small groups, 6 and under and for a minimum of three days.  You will sleep in a comfortable bed and eat like a king. This is an intimate and very casual once in a lifetime adventure.
